Maybe I m in the wrong chapter, but I like to ask you following:

1. So far I read some time ago in this forum, the tourist visa, e.g. 90 days in 1 day out, was changing in:

90 days in / 90 days out ?

or

90 days in / 180 days out?

2. For a D7 visa, the applyer should apply for the D7 visa in his origin country and he will receive the D7 Visa also in his origin country ?

The Schengen visa is intended for short stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. So it's 90 days in (max) and 90 days out (min).

The D7 visa is always applied in the applicant's country of origin. The application can be made at the Portuguese consulate in that country or via the VFS Global website in countries where the visa application is outsourced. You will then receive the D7 visa in your passport with an appointment for the day and time of the interview at AIMA in Portugal. After the interview, you will be granted a residence permit.

i received my stamp in March 24 in Manchester

i was reading your response to the D7 visa where you say that you will be given a stamp in your passport with a interview date and time? I have to disagree with this advice as too the stamp yes but the interview date and time was not supplied, I was told that once I arrived in Portugal I was to contact AIMA site and arrange my own interview. As with most applicants I’m finding that near impossible?

Thank you for your update.

You're absolutely right, the procedure has changed. Now it's you who contact AIMA.

From what I've heard, things are getting much better at AIMA now. Let's hope that by 1st quarter 2025, the phone service will be much easier.
