Hi Pina,

Happy New Year! It sounds like you've got a great plan brewing to move to the French Riviera. With your experience in tourism and teaching languages, you're stepping into this with some solid skills.

Firstly, finding a job is key. You might want to start by checking out job listings on "Pôle Emploi", "Indeed", or LinkedIn for example. Your language proficiency is definitely a plus, so you've got a good shot in the fields of tourism and teaching.

If you find a job that interests you, usually, the employer will help with the work permit process – it's a common thing for those of us coming from outside the EU. Alternatively, if you're into the idea of being your own boss, setting up as a freelancer is a viable option. You can look into the entrepreneur visa, which gives you a year to get your business off the ground.

Another idea is to spend a year just living in the area if you have the savings for it (with approximately 17 000 euros in savings and a health insurance it is doable). It's a more laid-back approach and gives you a real feel for the local market and lifestyle.

Best of luck with your plans !!

Take care,

Yuliana
