Spanish private health insurance

Post new topic

Hello everyone,

Would appreciate your advice, please.

I'm thinking of applying for Non Lucrative Visa.

I've received a quote for a year's cover of Spanish health insurance with a company called ASSSA for

1.013,40€  (+0.15% taxes).

Do you think this is reasonable? If, not can anyone please recommend a more favourable company?

Thank you

Best wishes

David

I don't know ASSSA. But we had policies with ASISA for a couple of years. Good company, and one of the more inexpensive ones.

Cost varies with age and prior medical conditions, so it's hard to quantify. But I'd expect it to be in the 500-1,500 ballpark.

If you really want to know if it's a good quote, use the Spanish comparison engines (e.g. rastreator) to search health insurance for you, and it will show the cheapest companies/offers.

Note, for your NLV your insurance must have zero copago (and this does make it significantly more expensive).

Thank you so much, that's very useful advice, again.

Best wishes
