Hi folks, I had my SEF interview in November for my digital nomad visa and still have not received my temporary residence card has anyone else been in the same situation ?

thanks

Mine arrived in a couple weeks. Maybe try phoning them, emailing them, or even just going to the office and trying to speak to someone when they come in and out. What office were you at; the delays are longer at the really big busy offices like in Lisbon, Porto Braga etc, but even so, that is a long time.

The other thing is the address you gave or were using... the card must be signed for at that address. Is it possible that they tried to deliver but you were not at home? Or someone did not want to sign? Or a different person was at that address? In that case they will return the card to SEF/AIM.

@nimrod_1976 Hello Sir, Sir I came in Portugal on job search visa, and given bio matric in 9 of August but still didn't receive resident card, when I visit in AIMA office they told me your card in Analyze and they told me still wait, I am waiting from last 5 months because my card is still under Analyze from last 5 months, and didn't know how long Analyze process complete, you can visit one time Immigration office.

@Perpetual_traveler thanks for the update I was at the Portimao branch and I will drop them an email, the address I have is a postbox but I did not have any notice of a failure to deliver. I have had other post come to that postbox fine so I will chase with AIMA.

@shawaizedu thanks for the update I am going to chase AIMA

I think that is your problem. They will never deliver to postbox, only to registered physical address where you live. Signature is mandatory, in person.

@Perpetual_traveler thanks for that information am a bit stuck then I have emailed AIMA and am unsure what else can be done, does anyone know if you can go to local Finances office or somewhere for more information ?

Finanças is not involved. See what the email response is from AIM. I think you are going to have to go in to see them to collect your card. I am surprised that they took a post office box address in the first place - normally they will take the address from your property rental contract, or your title deed and the utilities in your name, showing you actually live there.

@Perpetual_traveler

ok thanks for that, I have emailed AIMA so will await there response and if not there is a migrants helpline that I will call, they took the postal address down from the Termo de Responsibilidade that I had agreed with my friends house where am staying for the 1 year.
