Really ? Are you sure about that ? From the information he provided, he might be looking for opportunities in customer service, which implies that he will be interacting with locals. English is not their official language and expats have to adapt.

@Bhavna I got your point, but je isn't gonna work in a village with villagers who doesn't understand English language. He is seasoned Customer Service Specialist and ordinarily, he expects to find a job in a company or something. Employees who are skilled like him working within industrial circles or job markets interact in English language cos you also have expats and Polish citizens alike working together, there's no way, in a business or industrial circle or circuits that local dialects would be spoken to discharge job functions. That's my point. He may only need to learn the basics in Polish language for probable communication with locals in local markets or something of the sort.
