Capital losses carry forward? How to?

Post new topic

Hello everybody,

I understand that capital losses (resulting from selling shares through a broker) can be carried on for 5 years in Portugal.

Does anybody know how exactly is that done?

For example, if I had capital losses of 1000 euros in 2022, and I used part of them to offset capital gains of 500 euros in 2022, how can I use the remainder of the capital losses (500 euros) to offset capital gains in 2023?

I tried to find the answer online, but I couldn't find how exactly to do this on the Modelo3 forms.

Thanks for any help.
