Who was first the softdrink producers who changed from sustainable returnable glass bottles to a oil-waste-product to maximise the win to make profit for their C-levels and investors,

or the end consumers, who are not provided by a sufficient waste management by government, retailers and producers?

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it was coke who bought the rights to use that part of the song. Her song, "Another Summer", with the "...things go better with..." line, I think predates coke's ad jingles. Not sure (and a little too baked to check here now) ;)
