Hi Good Day!
I'm currently processing my working application in Fiji Island, Is Fiji a safe and great place to work as of the current time. How about the cost of living? I hope you can share any ideas about working in Fiji. Thank you a lot.

Yes Fiji is a safe place as it is also a tourist destination. Cost of Living is not that expensive but housing rates are expensive depending on your desired housing features and location.
Where in Fiji will you be staying and company that you will be working for? I may be able to assist you.

Do note that non-resident workers need to pay taxes as per tabulated below;

270,001Â Â 300,000Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â FJD 54,000 plus 33% of excess over FJD 270,000
300,001Â Â 350,000Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â FJD 63,900 plus 34% of excess over FJD 300,000
350,001Â Â 400,000Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â FJD 80,900 plus 35% of excess over FJD 350,000

Superannuation is not applicable to overseas workers however if you do wish to have this deducted, you may do so with your employer subject to certain conditions. The rates are 8% employee gross pay and 10% employer contribution.
