Dear people I salute you that you are expanding your knowledge with other interesting people. At 86 Part of my brain is still thirsting for more but some low life is robbing my storage behind my back. I think his name is Alzi! Never the less there are more unfortunate people so who am I to complain . Its onwards and upwards. I have visited Colombia in my middle years and intend to visit again in January coming year . Last December I returned from a fabulous trip of Mexico ,Yes you guessed it I have been bitten by the travel bug long time ago. No time to show off here there again I never was a macho man. Any tips on Medellin as I will be meeting a pen friend there any good dances no aggressive salsa I am not ready to go. Cheers every one from the place of Kangaroos yes you have guessed it Australia  Ciao Alejandro

Members, remember this is an Anglophone forum,

so if you post words in Spanish, generally speakiing,

they should be a relatively small part of the post ..

or be translated along the way.

Exceptions to the above might be short posts

where the meaning is evident because the words are

commonly heard in English-speaking countries

or are so close to their English meaning that

it's obvious what is being said.

Another exception might be a one word exclamatory

such as !Bailemos¡   Translation... Let's dance!

Tips for Medellín...

(1) Don't invite strangers up to your room.

(2) Don't get separated from your drink at

nightlife venues.

(3) If visiting Poblado, remember that you're

at mile-high altitude in a sector that contains

steep inclines in places.

(4)  If your Spanish chops are up to it,

make a side trip to Bucaramanga, Santander.

It's my favorite city in Colombia -- I spent

six months there this year.
