Has anyone sent their car over from the US ?

Bonjour everyone.

I have a "Hail Mary" question about homologation here in France. Has anyone ever sent their car over from the United States? The process is difficult to understand.

We have a Mercedes Benz manufactured in Stuttgart Germany but that seems not to matter. MB has told me explicitly it does not qualify for a Certificate of Conformity (CoC). However it can be partially compliant.

My question is who issues the certificate or RTI? Is it the manufacturer or DREAL?

Like I said it would be useful if someone from the U.S. could comment but it is a longshot.

Thank you for your indulgence.
