I would like to know if any one has a first hand experience (RECENTLY) of relocating from Saudi Arabia to UAE and he took along his car as well. I seen a post on this but it was very old.

There are some procedure on the google where one can contact certain company but those company will not do all the paper work such as going to the traffic police and get export certificates etc.

Scenario:

I am looking to buy a brand new car here in Saudi and suppose after couple of year I relocate to Dubai (for which I am already a resident with a drive license) I will want to also take this car along with me. So how easy it is and is it doable 100% or there could be issues in getting so and so certificates etc, hence question of personal experience so I will know for sure. Yes I can sell my car before departing but i will lose lot of money esp if the car brand is expensive.

Alternatively I can very well buy a car in dubai today and drive back to saudi on uae number plate but then i cam to know that i can only keep it running here for 6 months, and i have to repeat exit and entry of dubai car into saudi every 6 months which is not practical [had this is allowed for more than a year, I would choose this option gladly because eventually i will move to dubai ).
