Visa to go abroad after marriage, for Indonesian national

Filipe77

Hello, my name is Filipe, I am EU citizen, from Portugal.

Next year I will be returning to Indonesia and I will marry my partner who is from there.

We already know all about the marriage, procedure, documents and so on, but I need some advice regarding to do after we officialise the marriage, in terms of visa for her. We are wish to come and live in my country but I am not sure the duration of the Visa they will gibe to her, the only info I found online is that the government can give her 90 days Visa for each 180 days. I already have sent email to the government but I am still waiting for an answer.

Meanwhile I would like to know if there is someone who made this type of procedure, who can advice me on what to do, and how in case there are several options.

Thank you very much

Not really too sure about this, but since she will be applying for a Schengen Visa then maybe she could apply for the Long Stay Visa or Provisional Residence Permit which might allow her to "live with a family member". I think you should ask this question with the Portuguese Immigration to see what are the possibilities. Hopefully they are more willing to provide a solution than the British authorities who are really unhelpful.
