Psychologist in China

Post new topic

Mlle Marion

Hello community!

I did a year of university exchange last year (2023-2024) in Taiwan and took my courses at the Tsing Hua University in Psychology.

I just returned to France to finish my last year of my bachelor's degree, and I am thinking about my professional future.

I would like to live in Taiwan, China or South Korea depending on the opportunities for psychologists.

I am fluent in French and English at a bilingual level; however I only have some basic knowledge of Chinese and Korean, but I keep learning.

I think the easiest thing would be to do the master's degree in France and then see about a degree conversion? But I don't know if any of you have any information on this subject because it is difficult to find online (most of the time the sites offer me contact details for psychologists in China lol)

Is this a obstructed field? Is it possible to be a psychologist in a hospital or school/university environment, or will it only be in private practice with an "expatriate" clientele for the English language for example? I saw some forum talking about psychanalyse and not psychology in China, but they are from 10years ago, so did people evolve and the culture too?

If anyone has any kind of information or would even agree to exchange with me so that I can ask more specific questions, that would be great!

thank you :)
