portugal d7 visa

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been looking into the Portugal D7 visa, and it sounds like an amazing option for people who want to live in Portugal without needing a big investment. From what I’ve read, it’s perfect for remote workers, retirees, or anyone with a stable passive income. The idea of living in Portugal, with its incredible weather, culture, and quality of life, is super exciting, but I’m still trying to figure out all the details about the application process and what life is really like after getting the visa.

If anyone here has applied for the D7 visa or is currently living in Portugal on it, I’d love to hear your experience! Was the process straightforward, or did you run into any challenges? What’s life like after you’ve settled there? Any advice for someone just starting out? Let’s swap stories and tips—I’d love to hear what you’ve got to say! 😊

The Portugal D7 Visa, often referred to as the Passive Income Visa, is a popular option for individuals who wish to live in Portugal while enjoying the benefits of their income from abroad. Designed for retirees, freelancers, and remote workers, this visa allows applicants to reside in Portugal provided they meet certain financial criteria, such as proving a stable income source that covers living expenses. The D7 visa not only provides the right to live in Portugal but also opens the door to Portuguese residency, access to the Schengen Area, and the potential for long-term settlement in the country. If you're considering applying, understanding the eligibility requirements and application process is crucial.

Hi @irun2iran, Welcome.

D7 visa is a passive income visa that is used by pensioners.  D7 was also used by remote workers, but now there is a new option for these workers, which is the D8 Digital Nomad Visa:
