For better calm and relax stay in Hurghada you can consider apartment or studio in sahl Hasheesh or Makadi Hights.

Makadi hights is calm and nice place to stay, closed compound with pools and beach access at extra fees.

You can also check apartments at Magawesh area, very calm and mostly foreigners who live there

I dont agree, each place have its own pros and cons, yes cairo is too big with many options but still Hurghada is awesome for those who want beach and relac lifestyle, Makadi is so calm and just 30 minutes from the center of Hurghada and very safe, sahl hasheesh as well is a good option for calm stay away from the crowd
