BC provincial Nominee program help?

gembraithwaite

Hi there,

My family and I are looking to move to BC. We lived there 11 years ago and fell in love with it!

I am looking at the provincial Nominee program. I am a trained behavioural therapist and worked in Vancouver as an EA at schools. Then we moved back to the UK and for the last 10 years I've been raising our kids and not working in that field.

From what I've read you need to have experience within the last 10 years - my last working experience is just outside of that timeframe (11 years ago) and then I did it for 8 years continuously prior to that.

Do you think there is any other way I could apply or get in? We live in rural Scotland now and I would have to be in a city to pick up that area of work again annoyingly.

My husband is a forester - could we get in through his occupation? He has a BSc, I have a BSc and an MSc. We are both 38.

Any and all advice you could give is so appreciated.
