Hello Kate, I am an American expat relatively new to the island.  I have been here for almost two months. I have been to most of the common places, but I am interested in exploring the more remote locations.

Try to visit places like PONT NATUREL in the south you get there by driving across the sugar cane fields on tracks and parking has no facilities like cafe , toilets etc. It is often very quiet and the views of the natural bridge and exposed rocks and the sea make it feel very remote
