Anonymous HIV test clinics in Dubai, excluding Zach Medical Clinic?

Post new topic

osmanassaf

Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone has done an HIV test in a clinic here other than zach who won't ask for my Emirates ID?

I need to go do a test asap. Please DM if you have any suggestions?

What's the most accurate lab test for exposure thats 60 days old?

Thanks and regards,

Oz

I will let others comment on clinics.  There are two types of tests; one is the standard antibody test which looks for HIV antibodies created in response to infection by the body and the second is the PCR test, which directly looks for the virus.  You can get both done - the second would be more expensive and results take longer.

@XTang

The standard is comparable to the the test Immigration does yes? Is there a clinic that you recommend for that test other than. Zach that would also be anonymous and not ask for ID? Could you perhaps DM a suggestion?

And thank you so much in advance for the help you provide on ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ

Many remain indebted to you.

It is the same test as done by immigration.  Zach is also anonymous in the sense that they dont take ID but if you test positive, they are required by law to do a confirmatory test, take ID and report to MOH.  But the way it works is that if you are positive, they will call you in for a confirmatory - you can choose not to go, put your affairs in order and leave UAE for good vs. being deported and banned.

@XTang

Thank you @xtang. By the way, I have now tested negative from Zach. Should I also do a Hep panel? I don't fall under the 6 workers category but perhaps it is a good thing to do and also post renewal get vaccinated for the same?

To put your mind at ease, I suggest that you do a full STD panel which includes Hep but also includes many other diseases.
