You're slightly off topic here, perhaps better to create a new topic for your questions.


Briefly, Swiss citizens are treated as EU, so you don't need a visa, you do the EU Citizen Registration. You need proof of Bulgarian address, proof of health insurance, proof of funds. The address is your rental contract WITH landlord declaration. Health insurance is an EHIC or a cheap, local insurance policy. You can show funds with bank statements, or proof of pension. I can just share my experience. But it seems that with the Schengen membership from January 2025, Bulgarian employers are suddenly rejecting EU candidates in all kind of employment sectors. And this counts for private small business holders as well as mid size and larger companies.

It affects very much my life because I am literally starving in Bulgaria now.
