Info on moving to the Netherlands

Hi all, My name is Donna. I am from the U.S. I am wanting to move to the Netherlands my boyfriend lives in Wierden Netherlands OV.

I am not sure where to start I plan to move in with my boyfriend and I need to know everything I need to apply for or todo to make it happen.

I'm assuming that you are in fact a US citizen and over 21 years of age.聽 If so, in addition to what Cheryl has said, the first hurdle you will have to cross is to prove that "You have a long-term, exclusive relationship with your partner. Or you are married or in a registered partnership."; that's a direct quote from the Dutch Government (IND) website.聽 You will need to prove this, so, documentation, photos, internet chats - start looking now.聽 If you can't do this, then you will need to find a skilled migrant job with an employer who can sponsor your residence permit.
