Hello

Can any one assist me with obtaining birth records of my grandmother who was born in Cairo? I have tried various genealogical websites and companies by they are rather useless. I would travel to Egypt if absolutely necessary but I don't want to end up wasting my time.

Thank-you for you offer of assistance.

My grandmother and her siblings were born in Cairo between approx. 1899 and approx 1915. I have one record of the baptism - issued by the Patriarchate in the 1980s - for an older sibling but I don't trust the transcription from the Patriarchate's archive for some reasons. I am trying to obtain a more accurate record and in particular a similar record for my grandmother and any information about the identity of their mother (i.e., my great grandmother) that is captured in those records.

Do you think you (or someone that you know) could help with this?
