Dear Ally_Cat,

The taxation depends on many factors. If both are 'dependent' works, or a 'Individual self-worker'. If you have children, how many, if you have health expenses and, of course, the amount of money you get (taxes vary). If you earn the minimum salary, you'll pay nothing. I'll leave you the retention table for couple with one children:

Montly Salary   Retention (%)

until 726€    4,00%
until 801€    5,00%

Muito Obrigada Pedro....

Hello Ally_Cat,

38% would be wonderful ..... 25.000€ a month.
Well, don't forget it's a retention table, doesn't mean you'll pay 38% applied to the whole year salary.
There's something that's intriguing me .... you moved from Qatar to Portugal. Whyyyyyyyyy? Do you like to suffer of Tax-attack?
Hope everything goes ok.
Cheers.
