Opening a bank account in Ivory Coast

Julien

Hi all,

is it difficult for expats to open a bank account in Ivory Coast ?

Which documents are required to open a bank account in Ivory Coast ?

How long does it take to open it ?

Is there any restriction for expats regarding the services (loans for instance)  ?

Which bank would you recommend ?

Thanks in advance for your participation,

Julien

Well.... I haven't open an bank account here yet, But my visa card is working here perfectly.
if i am not mistaken, you need your ID, passport if your not a citizen, job documents, and housing documents. Plus i believe it only takes 2-4 days, for everything to be settle, but it depends what city you are in the country, because some cities are not well develop.
In 4 months i do plan on opening a bank account with sgbci or maybe Eco bank, those are my top pick.

HI IS VERY SIMPLE TO OPEN A BANK ACC IN IVORY COAST
YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT 2 PASSPORT PICTURES, YOUR CERTIFICAT OF RESIDENT AND WATER OR ELECTRICITY BILL TO SHOW THAT YOU ARE LIVING SOMEWHERE
AND AN AMOUNT OF MONEY WHICH THE BANKING INSTITUTION WILL REQUEST
