Before we started travelling I think my wife and I had each moved more than twenty times. Since then, how do you count lived, spent a night, spent a week, spent a month?

We've lived twice in Spain and once in Scotland all over three months at a stretch in the past twelve months. Taking three months as a limit then we've probably lived in a dozen or more countries, taking a night as a limit then i doubt I could count how many times we've moved, certainly hundreds.

it's the stopping that's the problem.

Living in a country is completely different from visiting it.
You need several months, plus a permanent abode, to settle down and actually get an idea of how is life there.
I do not count anything under 6 months as having lived anywhere.

I can`t believe that you moved that much it`s just unbelievable .
When I was 19 ,I moved from my city where I was born to Istanbul after 5 years I moved to England then 2 years later I moved back to Turkey for good but I think I have to move back to England again. So until now it`s 3. I don`t know what will happen in the future though

I am just wondering if you move this much often what the your job is
because it`s not easy to find new job in a different country , and for your family it`s so difficult school job issues etc. how could you get over it

I have lived and worked in 11 different countries for a period of 12 months or more  since leaving home in the 1960's. 

I have worked in some of these countries more than once so in total I have moved 20 times.

Well I have been shifting from one city to another after every 1-2 years. Most of my life spent in rented houses. I enjoy my life. I love to move to new places and friends. However, sometimes I am unable to contact my old friends who are living in different cities. That makes me sad. I really miss all those who played their part to make my life beautiful.

Hello,
I lived twenty one yeears in Ethiopia (Addis Ababa) where I worked with United Nations; From there I was tranfered to Morocco where I stayed 4 years and half. When I retired in 2002 I went back to my country (Madagascar) and again after 2 years  I went back to Morocco. Presently I have just moved to Mauritius and start settle down. What next? Who knows?

Well the thing is its so exciting to move with all the things which comes along with a move.
Im a lucky person that im married and move only with my wife if we move.
So we moved to following places.

Germany to Bahrain
Bahrain to Moscow
Moscow to Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi to Bahrain(yes again..:-)
Bahrain to Maledives( soon...!)

With all that positive hings which moving brings there are also quite some nasty points....!
Saling things, packing, qutations, saing bye bye and so on.

I found the perfect house in London id hove home to.
only problem it costs £39 millon pounds stirling

I have lived in england for 7 years and i moved 5 times the first was just a temporary accomodation though.

I have moved: out of home town; out of province (from B.C. to Alberta); back to B.C.; to Caymans; back to Canada; up north; down to coastal B.C.

Within B.C. there have been 20 moves, longest for 5yrs, shortest and next best was a private beach house for one month. Best is my current home. Found my area to enjoy, anchoring well!

Hi, in Poland I moved 3 times, I was also living in germany and there I also moved 3 times. It was not easy, cause with every time I had more and more stuff!

I've moved three times,

Jakarta, Indonesia - Houston, TX - Ottawa, Canada and here I am currently living in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

When I was in u.s I move 3.5 times because of my job. Never like to move though.

Those who has moved several times: what are you doing for living?

Well i moved 7 years ago form Thailand next to Singapore then we are here in Shanghai China Soon we gonna move to Switzerland. How was my life is adventure?

I used to be a ski instructor and moved around alot particularly in the US and moved through many states over a period of 5 winters in the northern and 5 in the southern hemispheres. Got sick of it eventually, now I've changed professions and am doing the same thing in yearly cycles. Glutton for punishment.

i love this act of moving because it shows how you really want to explore this world we live in. although some of us are not born with a silver spoon in their mouth but we try as much as we can to explore our little environment and appreciate nature and differences in culture and languages. i have moved only to 1 country and at least 4 different communities since then. not so much but i appreciated the differences and perculiar nature of each of them.

In the Netherlands 9 times and then one time aboard to Jordan.
In Jordan I moved one time.

from A-Z. Arizona was the last move back to my home state.
18 countries, 45 US states countless cities, moved at least ones a year, now i'm back home.. lonely quiet but at peace sometimes, not much to wander for me..
