Howdy y'all.

I'm Rob - new to the site, and fairly new to Maadi as well.聽

Although, I can be pretty outgoing, I feel kind of weird about just going up to complete random strangers sitting in a group e.g. at the ACE etc.聽 People too often get the 'danger alert' guards up reaction.

So i figure casual meetups, for the serious and goofballs alike would be more welcoming to those who want to meet other cool expats from outside their workplace etc.

I built a mini-cinema on my patio, near the grand mall for movie nights - i.e. painted a wall white, and using a projector - perhaps we can organize an expat film night for the few brave people.聽 Suggestions welcomed.

Yeah count me in. I'm been in Maadi for about a month and a half. I fell you. I tried that ACE club dance, and it is weird just walking up someone. Anyway I on road 233 so I'm not too far from you. Let me know when you want to arrange something. BTW I'm from the US and you?

im from canada originally, lived in heliopolis for bit then moved out here.聽 I;ll post details on the forum, as soon as i hear from a few peeps.聽 Any ideas about cool places around that doesnt require membership, etc?

You know really its not that easy to find even a place for a cold one, other than those clubs. Maybe someone else could guide us in the right direction. Well let me know when you want to hang. Hopefully others join in.

Hey Guys

well first of all there is a lot of places to go to in cairo for a drink you should discover night life here ! beside the Ace club, BCA Club, And Rugby club you could go to Amici Bar in zamalek or Opium Bar, Or Tamarai , Or Johnny's just check these websites but i must tell you most of these bars require a certain classy dress code so don't put your sox cap anyways here is two website will guide you through Cairo Nightlife hope you find them well.

P.S Am from maadi as well

hey there..I live in Maadi as well, I occasionaly go shoot some snooker or pool or catch a movie in Bandar with a buddy,surely anyone can join.
