Hi,

is it popular to share a flat in Nairobi ?

What advice would you give to those looking for shared accommodation in Nairobi?

Can you recommend specialized local websites or newspapers?

By the way, keep in mind there is a flat share/house share section in the Classifieds

Thank you for informing us about the classified section.

Popular? I would not say they are.

Flatshare has got its own niche market.聽 It attracts mostly single, young people who are looking to have all the amenities of a modern apartment for a fraction of the rent. They spend most of their time out working and socialising and not in the house.

Advice??? well, always ask to see the exact photos of a room before negotiations....enquire as much as possible about other people sharing the apartment...make sure that the rent charged equates to the location..

There are no specialized local websites or newspapers for flatshares in Kenya.
