Cell phones in Medellin

Tell me your preference in unlocked cell phones in Colombia/Medellin. I have been looking at the Nokia N8. I need to be able to comunicate back to the states basically while I am out at restaurants ie: Parque Lleras etc.聽 The N8looks like a good choice but I am open to ideas and opinions on any other phones you might have experienced or suggest.

They all work as far as calling the US.
