Dual citizenship for a newborn

Hello all I am new to this site :-) I have a question- I am a US citizen by birth and my fiancé is a bajan and currently live in BBS. (currently in the process of filing a K1 visa for him)I am currently pregnant and wanted to know - while vacationing with my man if I hav the baby in BBS will the child have dual citizenship?? My fiancé is a citizen there by birth. Please help/enlighten in this issue

Hi, this is a bit late on the answer but I just saw your post. I was in the same situation as you.  I opted to have the baby in the states to make it easier on the paperwork.  If you opt to have your child in Barbados, you are able to apply for U.S. citizenship because you are a citizen.  However, I was advised by many in Barbados to have the baby in the states to make that process easier.  My child is now applying for citizenship in Barbados because it is his right since his father is a natural born citizen.  Hope this answer helps.  Let me know if you have any more questions.
