Welcome to Saudi! Do tell us more about where you come from and why you came to Saudi.

Yup! So to start off, I was born and raised in Jeddah! Currently IÂ’m 24 YO. I belong to Pakistan and specifically Lahore. But I call it my second home. I am so used to the life here in Saudia now that I canÂ’t even start to imagine how my life would've been in my home country. Well IÂ’m sure it must have had its perks as well as cons. Even thou I missed out on not getting to socialize with my cousins and relatives every weekend, however the way I look at it, I thoroughly enjoyed those baik-outs and bbqs with the family friends on the corniche beach and those occasional visits to Taif here in Saudia.

After my high school from here in Jeddah, I moved to Lahore-Pakistan for my Bachelors. That meant living in Pakistan for 3 years (2005-09) and I believe it was one of the best times of my life. For the first time I became part of a community to which I really belonged. The people (majority) were like me and their family values were no different than mine. Now IÂ’m a pretty easy going guy, so adjusting to the new environment and making friends wasnÂ’t difficult (maybe because I knew these were my roots). However there were negatives as well as positives from this experience as well. Exposure to a different set/class of people and life changing incidents made me tough and stronger. I would say the cons outweigh the pros of living in Pakistan and specially for us middle-eastern kids.

Here onwards I moved to Manchester for my Master's. This was the next great phase of my life. I got to meet a whole new set of people in a new environment and had to go through new sort of experiences. I came across the wonderful nation of Greeks that were studying with me and I must say they are same version of the software but in a different language pack.  This was a very exciting and fun phase of my life. Learnt a lot and made life-long friends. After my Master's I moved back to Jeddah in 2011 and started internship for a couple of months in Riyadh. 6mths later moved back to Jeddah as I got a good Job here. And I have to say life is good so far. But since manÂ’s desires are like water you canÂ’t put boundaries on them. So life goes on but I have learnt three key lessons 1- Have neutral expectations 2-Live positively even through the toughest times (Love Life) 3- Be flexible (adjustable/adaptable, donÂ’t be rigid).

My interests are fitness sports, travelling, learning new languages and about cultures, photography, socializing!
