Hi! I'm new to Bavaria, and am eager to start exploring Munich. Are there any must-see sites to hit, or is it just the Englisch Gartens and Marianplatz?

I would also recommend the Munich Residenz and Schloss Nypmehburg if you like castles.聽 I personally like walking around exploring individual areas, each has their own feel and it's a great way to discover local cafes and restaurants.
