i have a large dog and was lucky to move into a building that allowed dogs. it is against the law for landlords to discriminate against pet owners, however, they get around this by saying another more suitable applicant was given the apt. the typical lease agreements also state that you will not own a pet (again this is against the law but if you don't sign, they won't rent to you)

my advice is to look into duplexes (house or 3 unit bldg which allows pets). usually ground floor units do allow them. the only other thing i can suggest is a letter of reference from your current landlord attesting to your suitability (quiet dog, no property damage etc)

rents for duplexes average $1,600 to 2,400 per month

if the landlord has a dog, chances are you'll be fine. you can be evicted in the event your dog damages property or disrupts your fellow tenantÂ’s enjoyment of their apartments.

all advise helps,r dog is part of the family since she was born so not realy an option to leaving her behind, she is a beagle all she can do is lick you to death lol

my pleasure, the beaches is a very dog friendly neighbourhood. just about everyone there owns a dog of one size or another.
