Living in Nairobi, Kenya

Currency is Kenyan Shillings (Kshs) and today's rate are about
1 USD = 83 Kshs today

> accommodation prices
2/3 bedrooms flat in Nairobi - 40 to 120,000 Kshs/month and stil more expensive also available

Townhouse in Nairobi - 70 to 180 000 Kshs
Townhouse outside Nairobi - 50 to 90 000 Kshs

> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc ...)
Matatu - 10-20 shilling minimum to depends on trip  usually
Bus - Same price
Taxi - Few with meters, otherwise discuss the price before (e.g. JK Airport - Town is between 1500 to 2000 Kshs)

> food prices(per month, how much does it cost you?)
Around 5000-10000 Kshs per week, that is  25000to 40000 Kshs per month. If you have local food every day then you can have for 10 to 15 thousand per month.
Id depends on how many people and how much food you consume and what kind of food you consume.

> health prices (for those who need medical insurance)

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)

Internet - Per month internet from 1500-3000, if you take zuku, then you get dstv and internet for 4000,

> prices of a good menu in a traditional restaurant
For 1 person, a good menu in a traditional restaurant will cost less a 2000 Kshs.
For 1 person, a good menu in a good restaurant (japanese, libanon, french) is about 2000 to 3000 Kshs

> prices of a beer and or a coffee in a regular pub
Beer - 100 to 200 Kshs for 500 ml beer

> price of the cinema
Cinema - 400 for normal to 450 for 3D Kshs per seat

over all you can have 1000-1500$ expenses per month. even there are some people who can survive for 300 to 500$ per month for all. that depends how you live and where you live.
