Cities/towns near/on the sea include: Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Vung Tau. They all have apartments/houses. Da Nang is very well priced (as in cheap).

In fact it is quite difficult to find accommodation by the sea here in Da Nang as the whole beach front has been allocated for hotels and new villa developments. I settled for an apartment with a fine view of the river. There are low rise buildings within walking distance of the sea but mostly no view of the sea
