Golf in Colombia

Post new topic

Hi,
I know there are golf courses in Colombia - I have seen websites that promote golf courses in various places, but for the life of me I can not get any response from these clubs as to the policies and costs to join and play - or if potential expatriates could try them out.  I am particularly interested in the Eje Cafetero region but any information (quality of courses, cost, ease of joining) on other areas as well would be appreciated.  Thanks.

One of my English students plays golf every Saturday at a club in Manizales. He comes into class on Thursday night, so I'll try and get some info about the club and report back to you.

Cheers,
Michael

That would be very much appreciated.  Thanks.

Sorry if this is a double post, but I am not sure if the first one posted or not...

I talked with my student and he informed me that the club is closed to non-members.  So you would have to purchase a membership or be a guest of a member to play golf there.  I asked him about the other courses and he said that he didn't know for sure, but they would most likely be the same.

The below link states that "Guests" are welcomed.  But that maybe guest of a members. I am certain that they would be happy to give you a tour of the club and allow you some t-time.  But now that I have their info, I will ask my wife to give them a call and find out.  As soon as I find out more information I will let you know.

Thanks for your information thus far.  I suspected as such it might be a private club.  I look forward to hearing what information your wife digs up.  Thanks again so much.
