Hey I need help ASAP please!!!

Packingup

My Hubby received a job offer to work in Nigeria for a year, I thought I did enough research to see if the offer was legit... I looked up the company online and they had an scam advisory but they had a list of email addys that would be legit... Any ways he received an email today from an immigration lawyer asking him to send $1000.00 US by Western Union to get a OVERSEAS TRAVELERS INSURANCE POLICY. Is this common practice os is this a SCAM? Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks,
Sasha

Scam!Cannot be repeated enough: DO NOT SEND MONEY TO SECURE A JOB, VISA, ETC. A legitimate company will take care of all expenses.

Pure and simple, just like it takes two to tango, it also takes two for a scam.

When I saw these three words my mind was made up "ASAP" "Western" "Union"

Of course this is a SCAM ... You should disregard such messages.

Hackers use such messages sometimes to get an easy access to your personal account therefore its advisable to change your passwords on a regular basis to avoid the possibility of hacking your account.

Scam!

Word of caution. Any job/apt/ad asking you to send money gram is likely a scam. Moreover most expats working in Nigeria, mostly work in oil companies/notable companies.
