Persian New Year

Post new topic

saqaei

Hi every body,

As some of you may know the Persian new year is coming... and Iranians tend to celebrate some days before and after. is there any interest in organizing something?

Well this is another opportunity for getting to know each other and making new friends while having some fun.

I'm yet totally alone on this and if there is going to be something your help is needed. is there any girls or guys who want to have an adventure on this?

Those who recently moved to Istanbul and those who got bored...those who want to find some friends and meet people by not just offering to drink that routine coffee somewhere... it's for all of us ;) write some ideas...

Hey there,

What a coincidence! Last night couple of my friends and I were thinking the same thing. how and where  we suppose to celebrate 4shanbesoori.we googled it but apparently nothing will be going on here in Istanbul and im not sure if we can just go to a street  and make a fire!! Probably police will arrest us :D

So,what do you have in mind?

Look forward to hear from you.

hey,
finally after some days... I got 2 replies :D well you're right we can not just go and set a fire out at street, we can do it in kilyos but it's little far so I'm going to make some calls to see if we can find a place near bosphorus that we can do it. then we have to think about having a 4shanbesoori dinner ;)

Hi!

I'm very interested in meeting up for Persian New Year! I'm Iranian-American teaching English in Istanbul. I haven't met any Persians here yet so maybe we can arrange a get-together one night.

Is anyone interested in these events?

Hey,

let's first do something about 4shanbesoori. I can't just sit at home and do nothing... we need Eggs with onion skin we need Sabzi polo ba mahi / shish andaaz and of course we need a little fire to jump over it. oh my God I want 4shanbesoori...

I called a nice Place called Gilane-Cafe (Probably a good Iranian restaurant in Istanbul with a cosy and friendly atmosphere) and She (the owner which can hardly speak Farsi) told me that they can make us SabziPolo ba Mahi or any we can order any other stew that they have (like Ghormeh-Sabzi, fesenjoon, etc). If we decide we can have a nice time there
