Pregnancy in Guatemala

Post new topic

Christine

Hi,

could you please share advice and tips about pregnancy in Guatemala?

Who are the best gynecologists for pregnancy follow-ups?

Which hospitals or clinics would you recommend to give birth in Guatemala?

Thanks a lot for your advice :)

hi there i see that this post is over 2 yrs old and no one commented on it. im assuming you were asking bc you are pregnant. can you tell me what you ended up finding out and how everything went for you as well as if you registered the birth abroud what information did you have to provide and how hard was it.

Everything went very well we have one children in a birthing home in Antigua.. it was with a US midwife. the center is called Ixmucane.. and we have the baby in water.. Then we go to the centro de salud to get a certificate of birth explaining that it was at home and then we registered it in Antigua at the civil registery then we took it to the US embassy to registered as american..
The second one we have it in Guatemala city with a specialist and also in water, all went well , the hospital gives you a certificate you take it to the city town civil registery then to your embassy
Very easy and pleased with the services provided
