Buying a car or bring a car?

Hello,
I am going to move to Guatemala from USA this year.
I heard that buying a car in Guate is expensive, therefore I consider to bring my used car from USA.
Which is better between buying the car in Guate and bringing the used car from USA?

I would sell the used car in the u.s. an buya decent used one here.聽 It will cost a few grand to ship one down an U will have to pay import tax when it arrives plus all of the BS regestering it here...
