Hi, my name is Brittany.  I moved from Atlanta, GA in the U.S. almost 2 and 1/2 years ago.  I just started a blog for other expats and for those back home wondering what it's like to live in Switzerland.  For example, one thing you don't expect when you move here is how much the Swiss people stare!

andrewsexpat

Yep, and I plan on staying here for a long time!

I'm in Zug and love it.  Everything is so cute here.  I haven't been to St. Gallen, but it is on my list to-do.

haha... stare they do.

hey, just wanted to drop a line and say your blog is well done and really fun.

im new here in switzerland, living since november, however i am not new to europe or switzerland in general... many many many miles covered by feet or throwing out the thumb and of course the fantastic train systems.  i have dual citizenship us-swiss which led me to look for a webpage like this one.  living in Frauenfeld currently and finally, like with the current spring, seem to be breathing a new life into my activities and success here.

however ive been a little slow on the uptake with meeting people so here i am.

Traveling and just enjoying this beautiful country are super high on my list and im always looking for joiners.

anyone ever want to explore a new city together or just hike some ridiculously b.a. mountain trails please dont hesitate to contact me.  im up for just about everything.

ahh and also,  im from Ohio. good ol Buckeye State.

take care,

Andrew C

I just found this site in my research of how the heck to get a job overseas.  It good to see a somewhat active thread/topic going.  Sounds like it's going to take a lot of work and preparation in getting a job and visa. :(<-- From Raleigh NC.
