Good places in Paris for live music

I'm living in Montmartre and am interested in finding some cool clubs or bars to listen to live music. I like all kinds of music especially indie, jazz, funk and world music. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey there! Paris is crawling with places to see music, some even for free! This is a great review of a cool jazz club in the Marais:

Also, Gigs in Paris and Lylo usually have lots of listings (on Lylo you can do a search for free shows):

But of course my favorite way to find places is just to wander around on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night and see what you find! You can also check my blog for updates on the shows coming up around Paris. Good luck!
