Send me a PM if you want and I can give you the contact for local (universal) insurance that is available through a large group here. This insurance is good ONLY in the DR and not if聽 you are traveling elsewhere.
It is also very inexpensive

Hi,my health insurence called " Humano" and you can choose from 3 different plans.There you have access to doctors and hospitals in the whole country.I pay for three month about 92US$.
