Not Advisable !! And I'm sure, nobody would guide you to get the DL in a wrong way, atleast on this forum ....

OF COURSE!!! Don't encourage them to grow corruption. Especially in DLs? Mistakes there can cost lives.

Why are you even thinking of doing it in the "illegal way" ?

It's clearly more than just you paying for it.

I guess you have done that in your home country. Take the test here and be legal and when you have an accident you won't have a serious problem here.

RehabDoctor

@muzhi
Being an expat you should be very careful. Licence is not difficult to obtain in legal way so avoid any malpractice.

Popolocroix

@Muzhi...

I could well relate to what you are trying to achieve here..getting the DL! :P
As for me, I started off with scratch as well, with no DL from my home country, and not knowing how to drive...'got 15 days of school when i took my initial test...which i painstakingly, and faithfully went through until i completed (my schedule was 6pm-9pm).
I passed the computer test, but unluckily, I failed with the actual test with the police - and they have given me another 4 days of school!
I'm surprised that a lot of my batchmates are again, taking another 4 days of school - meaning, a lot of people failed as well with the test...(even those people who's job back home is driving!) that is when...i went to this guy and paid him some cash, to make sure i will pass the test...
Sure enough, in my first test (which i failed) i was driving very satisfactory, but in my second test (where i paid someone), my engine even stalled! but i passed... ;)
"I believed, i got my license illegally, in the legal way" :whistle:
'been driving safely for 3 years now... :cool::D

@popolocroix  Yes, I've heard this before, 'greasing the wheel' or whatever (and it seems to be fairly common).  But I'd gotten the impression that Muzhi wanted to, with no preparation/lessons/whatever, just pay somebody and get some kind of a forged license!!

Yeah, only after hearing a guy whining that he took the test 3 times already and failed all...'which only made me choose to go that way (despite of the burning sensation inside of me saying "No! I can do this with my (new found) skills!" :top:

So @ Muzhi, just try to improve your driving skills, and be patient...we wouldn't want you driving out there and causing some accidents or road mishaps, or the least, getting shout at (by us, more experienced drivers) te-hee...:gloria

why do you even consider having it illegally? are you not confident enough to pass the test? Take it and pass it the right way. It's bad enough that locals get their DL without even the right skill to even manage parking. I even had boys driving cars and pretend to race and drift on busy streets. Don't play with other's lives. just my 2cents.

muzhi

@dynamo1131

same is my thinking but tell me i wonder what they will teach me in 5 days i am practicing in my office for a week but still not confident enough.
also
@ Popolocroix
same stories i have haired from my office clique as well .you know some of my office fellows ask  me that donÂ’t even go for the school get a bogus DL of your country and just pay for all the process around 2000 SAR and driving is a easy way you will found learn soon. But i thought i donÂ’t know driving if i have to pay then why not pay for driving classes. keeping in mind that i have to go to Olaya from Exit 18 at 3.30 then taking classes for 5 days and after that if thy fails me i have to think for some other means same like Popolocroix. Company will not facilitate me anymore also I have already spend around 700SAR still the DL fee is remaining.

Popolocroix guide me how much you paid and how paid.

:rolleyes: Mizhu's plea is tempting me to break such statement @saimans! :shy

But anyhow,@mizhu, don't go for BOGUS DL (Paying up someone and without efforts getting your license in a snap-even without going to driving school)...because it might turn out that those are indeed fake and not valid...like what happened to a friend of mine...(now he's totally barred from getting any DL here in KSA).

And you have to be careful with the people who you are dealing with for such (one guy tried to fool me into a deal)

In total, I spent more than 2,000 SAR to get my license (includes cab fees,& snacks for the whole duration of school 15+4 days!!! DL fees, and 'Greasing the wheel' Fees(as what Alliecat has said)...

So, just take a good driver with you, show him how you drive, and if the stars that day, aligned themselves the right way --- you'll eventually get your luck, and DL in the process - just don't get nervous! ;):proud

I agree, the examiner also looks for coordination and confidence. If you get nervous, which is understandable, you tend to make obvious mistakes, which the examiner picks up. Just keep your cool and show that you can drive even though your nervous. good luck to you.

muzhi

thanksss alll...pray for me if successfull (inshah allah) i will share will you .....feeling more confident now.

Good Luck Muzhi, I think with all the positive feedback and the encouragement you got here on this forum, you would be able to do it..  :)

pkmusd

I was almost on verge of paying 2000 to a fraud to get it
but then i realized thankfully and got it myself.

its very simple, all you invest is sometime.

if you know how to drive he will clear you

muzhi

See?  You could do it!!  Things here often seem discouraging but with perseverence, all seems to work out in the end.  Congrats!

muzhi

as you know i donÂ’t have the driving license from pakistan so when i went to driving school at exit 4 under the over head bridge( i donÂ’t know exact name) they taken my test and given me madrasa(school) for 5 days actually the fifth day was test day, i paid 435 SAR for school and after 15 to 20 days i came for first class timing was 330 to 930 first 2 hr the instructor teaches the signal but itÂ’s a boring time because he even not use a single word or English(i even ask him to speak in English)but all days he used Arabic only.
After that you will go into the open for driving and the trainer will call your name (its by luck if you have your name early) otherwise you have to wait for 20 to 30 minutes in hot and sitting on the metallic bench(mean up and down both hot)
Before salah he will let you drive for two cycles which include a inclined plan where he will ask you to stop and then go make sure that engine should not stop. after salah two more driving cycles then you will get your receipt of attendance that you need to be submitted next day.

When 4 days complete then the trainer will give you the white slip and ask you to come for test tomorrow at any time 7,8,9,10 but i went on 7 o clock .
first given the computer test its was a simple one or i have learnt all the paper that they have given because i made not a single mistake and finished in 5 to 7 minutes. he the person ask me to go for the final test i went out the Maroor called my name along with 3 others and the CAR was Camry but they trained us on Corolla so i was a little nerves my number was at the last he ask me to drive and stop at kubri thanks god the car did not stopped and run smoothly( thanks god he did not taken me to the road in the trafic)
After that he asked to go inside we went and pay the fee 225 SAR for five year .and got the license

when he sent your file inside the office then the manager of school will call you and check your documents and attest then .one of my fallow was ask to wait outside because on the pic he was clean shave and now he was having a small beard.
So as per my experience my school was very good  and easy to get license also the trainer was very much supportive and he told the little things that we usually forget .

That was all I had when I went to get my Saudi Licence a scrappy pinky green bit of paper held together with sticky tape and they accepted it. Didn't even have to do an eye test :-)
