Artist/writer wants to move to Ghana

I am an artist and writer working on a series of paintings of a black American fable I have created. I am 54 and retired with a pension that allows me to live comfortably but frugally in Orlando Florida, USA I need a modest place to live and sleep and some kind of studio and a housekeeper and average looking everyday people that would let me take a photo of them to use as painting references. I plan to visit this year and check things out. Any suggestions? Any help from the expat community? Do you think I could do a project like this in Ghana cheaper than in the states?

My profile picture is a sample of my work from a photo shot be someone else. I want to do my on photos and paint from them but the models will be dressed up in the dress of the characters from the book.
