Meeting new friends!

Post new topic

Christine77

Hi all

I am Greek-Australian been living in Southern Athens the past 3 years. I moved here permanantely, so not looking back now!

I love to travel, discovering new places & culture. Ive lived and worked in London and currently I work in the Shipping industry here in Athens.

Looking to meet other expats in their 30's to hang out with and have a good chat!

Anyone out there??? It can be so hard to really get along with Greek Greeks, when they often have a different outlook to life!

Hello,

Would be fun if you guys organize an expat-blog meet up?

Do you have any idea where you could meet? A time?

Melissa

NinaAthene

Hi guys,

I am Nina. I am from Belgium and moved to Athens 2 months ago. I am not yet in my 30s :) I will be 29 in July. I know already some Greeks, since my boyfriend is Greek, but I would love to meet some other people to have a drink and discover the non-touristic cultural side of Athens. Reading the above conversation, you all seem like active people, willing to go out together. I dont know if you met so far, but in any case, how about organising a drink?

Kelly Naips

Hi Christine

Good to hear someone else is in the same situation as I am! I'm Kelly, I'm Scottish and moved to Athens about a year ago. I work at a digital agency and we have a base in both Athens and Edinburgh so I travel back and forth a lot but mostly stay here in Greece as my Greek boyfriend has a daughter here.

Like you, I have found it difficult to meet friends here. I have Greek acquaintances at work but feel like I am not on the same wave length and I am friendly with my boyfriends friends but they are mostly boys and heavily into their computers/gadgets haha.

I'm quite a girly girl and love to visit new places, meet new people and try new things. It would be nice to meet up for a coffee sometime if you are free.

Hopefully speak soon.

Kelly x
