Cbau: If I was you I would contact Malmo City Council - send them an email. I did the same once I lived in Norway, but unfortunately free language courses were not available for native Danish and Swedish speakers.

Look up SFI courses, they're free and pretty accommodating regarding personal and professional circumstances.
