moving from USA

Post new topic

kmarlette

I am looking to move from the USA and am not quite sure where to move. I have looked into Belize, Guatemala, Jamaica, Bahamas, and will be looking into Nicaragua. Any info on any of these places will be helpful. I have not visited any of these places personally but after getting all the info I need for them, I will travel to one place for vacation before moving to make a better decision. Here are some questions I would like answers to if possible:
1. jobs? are they easy to get for non citizens
2. cost of living-is it higher than US
3. becoming a resident (i know would take time)
4. banking systems
5. climate
6. housing
7. health care
8. any other useful info needed :) and if anybody has any experiences they would like to share :)

Also which place would be better to move to?
We are looking for a place with a low cost of living, available jobs (most important), we have no kids right now, but we do have pets so obviously they would come with us. Also we would want a place where renting to foreigners isn't hard since we would not have jobs in the beginning to get our own home. Again any help would be nice...thanks

And again, I do know I will need to travel to the place I want to move. We are looking for tropical weather. Nothing to hot or cold.
