Sports in Nairobi?

Post new topic

ip7

Hi,

I might be moving to Nairobi in the near future, and was wondering what sports can I find there? I was there for 2 months last summer, but had no time to look for sports.

Wikipedia has limited information in sports apart from soccer and cricket.

I am wondering is there anywhere to play basketball or volleyball? I am very athletic and love sports, and would love to continue playing if I move there. The question is, which sport is there most likely to be?...

Any replies and welcome and appreciated.

Thanks

Filip

hey, volleyball and basketball are available in Kenya and so are other games. mostly people organize themselves and start playing in their neighborhood or even in church grounds or open grounds or in school fields like the university. there also private clubs where people meet and play. the bottom line is the games are available

Thanks for your reply. What I am mostly interested is organized clubs/teams. Do you know of any leagues?

Thanks

to be honest organised clubs are there but you would have to be here to be able to choose which one you want to join....it would be easier but rest assured they are available.sorry if i wasnt of much help but i hope someone comes along with better clarification

Yeah, I hope someone can clarify it further, but thank you very much for your replies. Any piece of information is valuable to me, so thanks :)

Anyone interested in playing some sports?

You can visit nairobi university in weekends and join people who are playing, volley ball, basket ball and foot ball. Thats easy to get friends there to play. I would prefer that place coz its for free and good.
