Best way to send a package from Morocco to the US?

Post new topic

bguo

Does anybody have experience with sending packages from Morocco to the US?  I had a package shipped by regular Moroccan post and it never arrived!  I've since heard that it is not reliable.  Does anyone have experience with DHL, Chronopost or FedEx?

Thanks!

hey,I usually do send packages from Morocco to USA and have never meet any problems.i used both FedEx and chronopost and they are good.concerning a normal shipping , i even tried it  and was normal in terms of procedures just it is matter of time '' too long about a month or more" .I think you didn't provide them with the exact address or phone number of the receiver.they even give you a code to track your package on line.you shall pay a visit to the post office and explain your problem.you paid money so it is Ur right to complain and at least get ur package back.

Thanks for your reply.  The tracking number showed that the package was in Casablanca in mid-July but no other entries since then.  The US post office has no record of it ever entering the country.  The first two shipments we sent by Moroccan mail arrived in one week.

Are FedEx and chronopost expensive?  I can't read French so can't research on their websites.

FedEx and Chronopost are working with cooperation with the Moroccan post office.they don't have special offices , just exist normally in all Moroccan post office.you have got a problem.why they didn't send the package back to the address of the sender if they can't reach the receiver.normally in ordinary international mails,Moroccan post offices decline any sort of responsibility since the amount of money you pay doesn't cover the security of your packages.FedEx and chnoropost are secure but little bit expensive,no less than 500 dh for just something small.I advice you to visit the post office in morocco from which you sent your package.

I can only conclude that the package was stolen.  The Moroccan post office claims that the package arrived in the US but there is no evidence of that.  I asked about the price for FedEx we were quoted $300 US dollars (shipping price alone) to ship a 10 pound package.  This is just crazy! But the alternative of paying for something that never arrives isn't great either.  Maybe chronopost is a better option.  Thanks for the info.

prices of FedEx and Chronopost are almost the same.one has to use them just to send light stuffs like papers or documents.sending something heavy for sure will cost you lot.you are welcome and don't hesitate to ask whatever :)

Hey, I've got the same problem, I am a local, but I have wanted to send a package to my friend from a very long time, but it never worked, she doesn't live in the U.S though, she lives in South Korea
