Hi new member, looking for expat medical centre and dentist?

Post new topic

louie1983au

Hi, i'm from Australia, just turned 29 male, and been living just north of Athens for over one year. Work as a helicopter technician here. WIll be here for at least another 9 months or so, maybe longer. Anyway I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a good expat medical centre. I have health insurance, and need to see a doctor/ specialist for a reccurrent eye twitch that's bugging me. Also would like to see a dentist if anyone can reccomend good expat, engish speaking dentist???

Also if anyone wants to hang out or meet up i'm 30 mins out of Athens and have a car. ALso i'm interested in starting up a small poker group to play with. Just for fun, not money...

Email me if you want to meet up.

Thanks,

Louie.

Hi Louie,

Read your message. Assuming that your insurance is valid here in Greece, I would recommend one of the private medical centres such as - its a random pick, the ones that first jumped into my mind - Hygeia address: Erithrou Stavrou 4 and Kifisias Ave. tel. 210 68 67 000, Iatriko Kentro address:Distomou 5-7 Marousi  210 6198100-120, Erikos Dunant address: Mesogion 107 210 6972000 .

Hi Amesotis,

Yes private insurance I have. I would like a place that has good doctors who speak English well, if not expats themselves, and where the price is reasonable but not excessive. Also easy/ fast to book an appointment if not straight in. I went to a dentist here a few months ago and we couldn't communicate at all which made it painfull and also alittle expensive I think...

Hi Amesotis, did you post something about a dentist but it's deleted now?

Yes I did. Look, you can send a message to me, spiros at connexion3 dot gr and I can send you the telephone of a dentist I know in Athens who speaks english and has fairly reasonable prices.
