Hi aciocanel,

Dear aciocanel . you need minimum USD 1000 for your living expenses.for house minimum USD 1500 . u need ur own transport as public transport is not good here

SajjidPatel

HI Aciocanel .... Kinshasa is comparable to the cost of living of Geneva, Brussels or London.Ìý If you are going to be working for a Corporate, they will cover your house rental, salaries of all staff working for you at the house and/or apartment.Ìý Rents for a very decentÌý 1BHK (Studio) starts at $1200 to $1500 in the Gombe area.Ìý Your living expenses, depending on where you shop/eat/entertain/socialise at will run you as an individual, between $1000 to $1500.Ìý This is personal and would be what you would spend from the salary payment.Ìý There are lots of expats working for NGO's, international corporates and foreign missions.Ìý Once you're there, I'm very sure they will all be very helpful in making sure you are well guided.Ìý Good Luck.

Hello VARAD1974

about your questions , the answers for that are the following

1.Cost of apartment (with sharing) or (without sharing).Ìý : depends on the area , you may have an apartment between 300$-500$ one room , or a compund house for not less than 1000$-1500$

2.Food cost.Ìý : you can provide food from so many shops it might cost you between 500$-700$ if you cook at home maybe less if you know how to get your stuff

3.Internet : between 50$ to 130$ for home internet , for mobile between 20$ to 50$ a month

4.WaterÌý ( the water at home isnt expensive the bill will be between 10$-20$ maybe less even depending on your use)

5.electricity costÌý also not that expensive depending on your use between 10$-20$

6.Medical InsuranceÌý you can find insurance between 100$-200$/month and you can just do nothing and in case you got sick (God Forbid) then you can go the hospital and get a care there, i don't have well knowledge about hospitals there but i prefer you check european or american hospitals there , DO NOT USE LOCAL CLINICS EVER

HOPE THAT ANSWERED A FEW OF YOUR QUESTIONS WELL

ENJOY YOUR STAY IN DR-CONGO

@ Mido_Cesar > Thank you for this sharing of information as it might help other members as well. However, i just wanted to point out the fact that the post of VARAD1974 is old (2013).
